Welcome WordPress 6.0 “Arturo”
This week, WordPress 6.0 was officially released. Named for latin jazz Arturo O’Farrill, the release focused heavily on design and performance. Users can now format and style as they create a blog post or landing page. Let’s take a look at what you can expect when you update. An Improved Writing Experience WordPress started as a blogging platform and continues to honor its roots by improving the in-platform writing experience. You can now copy and paste text from over multiple blocks. Also, styles will remain when moving to and from different kinds of blocks, so everything will look uniform. Perhaps my favorite new writing feature is the ability to use two open brackets to search your library for related content. Linking back to your own site is very important for audience retention and SEO and being able to simply type ” [ [ ” and search will save a lot of time. All of these updates will allow you to more quickly get your ideas out into the world. Dynamic Design Features This release comes with a bunch of new and exciting design features. Five new template options for blocks allow users to better customize every part of a page.…
