Recap: Community Deputy Training – All About Community Deputies
Deputy training will take place on the 3rd Thursday of the Month via a Zoom Call. Community Deputies are invited to attend this session every month. Attendees: @angelasjin, @adityakane, @megabyterose, @juliarosia, @devinmaeztri, Juan Hernando, @_dorsvenabili, Cate DeRosia, Nemanja and @samsuresh Training started with an introduction of each deputy. This training is based on a P2 Tuesday Training: All About Community Deputies. The training covers topics such as building relationships, being a resource, and communicating with the community. The deputies in attendance are given an overview of the program and its goals. They are then given a chance to ask questions and share their own experiences. Training key takeaways:- Angela was expressing views on how the community was impacted by the pandemic. She said that the pandemic had changed the way people interact with each other. This has been a challenge for the Community Deputies. However, community deputies are also busy during pandemic assisting with online events. Community Deputies can help solve problems and build relationships within the community. Deputy can also help coordinate events and activities, and provide support and assistance to WordCamp and Meetup organizers.
