Running Funds Outside of WPCS
WordCamps are back in full force! It’s such a wonderful thing to see so many active communities in the WordPress ecosystem organizing in-person events around the world. Part of the organizing process is receiving income from ticket sales and sponsors, as well as paying vendors. For most WordCamps, these financial steps are handled by Central and WordPress Community Support. For some communities, handling the financial aspects of a WordCamp locally, versus through WordPress Community Support, is much easier, whether it be due to government regulations or banking restrictions. Due to this, a new section has been created in the WordCamp Organizer’s Handbook for “Running the money outside of WPCS”.
