Newsletter Glue Version 2 Rebuilds Settings Interface With Block Components, Sets Foundation for New Features

I “officially” dubbed Newsletter Glue my favorite plugin in the 2021 yearly recap post. WordPress’s block system makes such projects more feasible than before, or at least more easily built and extended. Since I first took note of it, I have kept a watchful eye on its progress. Late last month, the plugin’s development team released an overhauled version 2.0. Last September, I put Newsletter Glue through the ropes. It was a well-rounded plugin that was easy to set up and connect to my preferred email software. The onboarding process was top-notch. Creating and sending newsletters was as easy as publishing a blog post. There were some pieces of the user experience that I did not like. Not being able to permanently disable fullscreen mode was one of them, and that seems to have been fixed since then. I would also welcome more integration with the active theme’s color palette in the Newsletter Theme Designer and the meta box moved to the sidebar panel.
