When I proposed the Polyglots Outreach Effort, I was inspired by the Community team’s Meetup reactivation project. While the format is different, many goals are the same: to help support various WordPress communities in their efforts. A few Meetup reactivation supporters have kindly included me – or my idea! – in some of their check-in calls recently….

Last year, the Community Team opened up a pathway to return to In-person WordPress meetups, WordCamps, and do_action charity hackathons. In addition to following local laws and safety guidelines, the Community team’s current guidelines recommend that only individuals who are fully vaccinated, recently tested negative, or recently recovered from COVID-19 could participate in in-person WordCamps….
Community Team blog has automated “Weekly Updates” posts starting from around 2016. The idea behind those posts is that every Community Team member, event organiser, mentors and deputies, could share with others in the comments section what they have done during the last week.
